CONMEBOL have announced that the Liverpool striker will be banned from his next five international games following his involvement after fights broke out following his country's 1-0 loss to Colombia in the semifinals of the Copa America in July. He has also reportedly been fined £15,151 – but this will not rule him out of Liverpool action.

It was reported that a group of drunk fans had attacked their friends and families in the stands, while videos emerged of babies and children being passed down towards the pitch to avoid the fighting.
